I set out to make a darker trap style beat, but somehow the kit sounds I had to work with all led to this beat. I’ve always liked a polished “club banger” type sound, and this reminds me a bit of something older like “In Da Club” by 50 Cents or a lot of Wiz Khalifa type beats.
